Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Gilchrist Hospice at our Hospice Regatta Dinner! Remember you can still go to , and you can go to https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/Regatta2026 any to donate. Donations made until June 25th will still count toward the High Donor and Highest Fundraising Team competitions!
We’re a few weeks into the Spring series, and looking forward to more good weather and great racing. We’ll have our next Social on May 21st.
We still need skippers to take RC for several weeks, including May 21st. Pick a week to help out. Skippers that haven’t done RC before (or those looking for a refresher) can check out the instructions and video linked at https://hdgyc.org/racing/race-committee-and-course-instructions.
Our tune-up race is on April 16th, and the first race of the Spring Series will be on April 23rd. We’ll also have a social after racing on the 23rd. It will be great to see everyone on the water and around the club room after the cold winter!
We’ll be out sailing soon, probably around the time the ice melts, from the way February has gone! Memberships are now open – see Membership for more info. The Sock Burning pot luck will be on Saturday March 21st, the tune-up race will be on April 16th, and the first race of the Spring Season will be on April 23rd. See the Schedule page for all of the details and when we’ll have Thursday Night Socials, the Hospice Regatta, and the Gumbo Cook Off. We look forward to seeing everyone on the water!
